A vicar I spoke to recommended against having a wedding on or very close to Christmas though because people want to be with their families at Christmas, plus transportation and hotel costs can skyrocket over the festive season.

“Couples want a wedding that stands out,” Bramer says. “Winter gives them a canvas that feels fresh and dramatically different from the classic summer look.”
